PILGRIM, LEXINGTON: PART-TIME ORGANIST

Pilgrim, Lexington is looking for a part-time organist. One Sunday service (8:45)
and one rehearsal per week; also mid-week services in Advent and Lent. Qualified
individual will work closely with music director to provide music in a variety of styles
within this liturgical service. Three-manual Allen Quantum Renaissance organ,

ST. ANDREW’S, COLUMBIA: DIRECTOR OF MUSIC MINISTRIES

This congregation, with an established history of excellence in worship and music, seeks a
musician creative in the Lutheran tradition to lead two Sunday morning worship services and
seasonal liturgies. Specific responsibilities include leading the congregation in worship and
song, conducting an adult choir and a children’s choir, and directing soloists and instrumental
ensembles. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of Lutheran theology and
liturgical practice, skill and competency at the keyboard, both organ and piano, improvisation
and service playing. The church’s instruments include a Schantz organ, 3 manual, 34 ranks; a
Knabe grand piano, handbells, Orff instruments and chimes. Requirements include at least
a bachelor’s degree in music, and experience in conducting and rehearsing choirs of different

ST. JAMES, SUMMIT: PART-TIME YOUTH DIRECTOR

St. James, Summit, SC is accepting applications for a part-time youth director. The preferred
candidate will have experience working with children, and a college degree or currently enrolled
in degree program. Job Description: Recommend to Christian Education Committee
suggestions for activities, program emphases and settings for youth. Plan and carry out a
varied and wide-ranging program with youth, which includes study, fellowship, service
and activities. Organize parents and other congregational members in youth ministry
support activities (meals, transportation, fund raising, etc.). Mentor youth as they emerge as

Summer Memorial Lutheran Church is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of
Director of Music Ministries / Organist. This part-time position (16-20 hours per week) consists
of one Sunday worship service plus any additional seasonal services (i.e., Advent, Lent, etc.).
The Director of Music Ministries conducts weekly rehearsals with the adult choir, the children’s
choir, and the handbell choir. This individual will also work closely with the Pastor and the
Worship and Music Committee in selecting a wide variety of music to enhance the worship
service. Knowledge of traditional Lutheran Liturgy and contemporary praise music is an asset
