Greetings to all of you in this New Year of 2008! Hopefully by now, you have received the
Winter issue of the Ripple. This is a very important issue
containing information about our convention coming up in May. Please take
the time to read over all of the information and feel free to contact anyone
on the board if you have any questions. Our convention committee has been
working hard on plans for the convention, and I hope we can have a good
representation from all over the state present at Lutheridge. One item that was inadvertently left out of the Ripple was the nomination form for treasurer and/or board. This form as well as information from the nominating committee will be mailed out to the congregations in the very near future. Please be looking for this mailing. We have also made this information available online. Please use the blue links in this paragraph to open and print out the forms, including registration form for convention as well as instructions for filling out the form. Please feel free to make as many copies as needed for your congregation (one per person planning to attend) and send the completed form with the fees to Christie Gardner, registrar. Her address is on the form. Don’t forget our upcoming retreats in February at Camp Kinard and April at Coastal Retreat center. Contact Agnes Folk (843-662-1210 or aebfolk@yahoo.com ) for further information. Agnes is chair of our Mission Growth Committee. There’s a lot to look forward to in the coming year with SC Women of the ELCA. Come be a part of it! God’s blessings on you for 2008! Diane
